About Us

I have been a firearms enthusiast since childhood. Starting around age 6, shooting BB Guns, Pellet guns, .22 rifles and .410 shotguns. My first gun was given to me by my Dad, not including BB guns and Pellet guns, it was a Stevens .22 over 20 ga. I still have that gun, thanks Dad!!

In the early ‘80’s, I and a fellow draftsman were instrumental  in forming the Conroe Shooters Club, thanks Jerry! The Conroe Shooters Club was started as an

                                                          excuse to spend lunch time during the

                                                          week shooting at targets, then having

                                                          a little competition on Saturdays at the 

                                                          shooting range, seeing who was the best 

                                                          shot. And we usually had a certain Doctor  

                                                          that took the trophies home with him

                                                          more often than not!!

 

In 1995 I applied for the new Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor class. I went through the instructor training class in December of 1995. Times have sure flown after 7 re-certification classes!

Last year I decided to really get serious about  teaching Concealed Handgun classes and started building my own shooting range. This year (2010) I hope to take several more NRA Instructor classes to add to my value as an Instructor.

 

I am a Life member of the NRA and the TSRA and a member of the TCHA. An NRA Certified Basic Pistol Instructor (Courses coming soon!), and an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer.
